Make the Deadlock HUD and text bigger
On a big monitor, from the couch, or simply mid-fight, Deadlock's HUD numbers can be hard to read. You can make just the text bigger, scale the whole HUD, or size each part on its own, in any mix.
Bigger numbers and text: Big Text
Big Text makes what you read in a fight larger: health, ammo, souls, cooldowns, key tags, the clock, the kill feed, chat and tooltips. Boxes the game sizes to the text grow with it, so nothing gets cut off.
- 1 Install UI Kit (how to install mods).
- 2 In Deadlock, open Settings, then the UI Kit section, and switch on Big Text.
- 3 Pick 125 % or 150 %. Leave Strong shadows on: a dark outline keeps numbers readable over bright scenes.
The whole HUD bigger or smaller
- 1 In a match, press Esc and choose UI Kit.
- 2 Open the HUD tab and change Scale all items. Every part stays at its screen edge, so nothing ends up overlapping.
Tip: Smaller is useful too: at 85 to 90 % the HUD covers less of the fight.
One part at a time
Want only the minimap bigger, or a smaller kill feed? Pick the part in the Layers list and change its Size, or drag its corner on the HUD.
- The shop is a part too: Buy menu (shop) in the Layers list, if it's too big for your screen.
- Parts the game only shows sometimes (the respawn timer, prompts) can be shown in the Test tab while you size them.
